NOCTEA
A hammered teapot catching low sunlight

Our story

An honest cup, obsessively sourced.

NOCTEA started with a single cup at the end of a long day — and the slow realisation that almost everything sold as “tea” had long since forgotten where it came from.

So we went looking for the opposite. We built relationships with small gardens and single estates — the growers who still fire by hand, who name their harvests, who can tell you which slope a leaf came off. We taste everything before we buy, and we buy little.

What arrives in your cup is the whole point: teas with an address, packed the week they ship, and sent with the one thing most sellers leave out — how to actually brew them. No mystery blends. No filler. Just leaf worth staying up for.

Sourcing

We taste first.
Then we buy.

Every lot is cupped in our workroom before a single tin is filled. If a tea can't tell us where it's from — a mineral note off the Wuyi cliffs, the honey of a Yunnan bud — it doesn't make the shelf. That's the whole selection process, and it's ruthless.
